💃 My Dusit Thani Mactan Prom: Twice the Memories, Twice the Fun

Hello everyone! I’m so excited to share my special Dusit Thani Mactan prom story with you. I’m a 16-year-old Grade 10 student, and this year, I had the chance to celebrate prom again at the beautiful Dusit Thani Mactan Resort.

Last year, when I was in Grade 9, we also had our promenade there. Coming back to the same amazing place made this experience even more emotional. This year felt extra special because it could be the last time I celebrate prom with my current friends.

👗Preparing for My Red and Gold Prom Night

As soon as I heard that the theme was red and gold, I became even more excited! I immediately asked my parents to help me prepare my gown early. They were super supportive as always.

I chose a beautiful red ball gown with golden details. My mom helped me fix everything—from my dress to my hair and accessories. She kept reminding me, “Just enjoy the moment and be confident.”

❤️Prom Night Memories with Friends and My Date

Guess what? My prom date for Grade 10 Prom 2025 was the same as last year! We’ve been friends, so everything felt easy and fun. Another highlight was staying overnight at Dusit Thani with three of my closest friends. Thankfully, my parents allowed me to book a room. Since some of us are transferring to different schools for Grade 11, we knew we had to create more memories together. It’s a bit sad, but that’s part of growing up.

🌟 The Program and Performances

The prom program was really fun. We started with a welcome message and then had a few performances. Some of our classmates performed live on stage with a band—they were amazing! The teachers also performed, which was really fun to watch. It was nice seeing our teachers outside the classroom just having fun like us.

We also had some slow dances during the night. I danced with my friends and had a really good time. I didn’t take too many photos because I wanted to enjoy the moment, but I’ll share the best ones here.

🏊‍♀️ Swimming After Prom

After the formal program, we switched into comfy clothes and went night swimming!
The pool at Dusit Thani Mactan Resort looked magical with soft lights reflecting on the water. We swam, laughed, and made unforgettable memories before heading back to our rooms.

Even though we didn’t take many photos, the feelings of joy are perfectly saved in my heart.

🏨 My Family’s Supportive Stay

Another thing that made me feel special was that my family also booked a hotel room at Dusit Thani. While I was at the prom, they had a little date of their own. They were so happy, and when I came back, they showed me their photos too.

I’m so thankful for my mom and dad. They’ve always supported me in everything. They gave me advice, helped me dress up, and even said, “Just be confident and have fun.” I really felt their love that night.

🥞 The Morning After – Breakfast Buffet!

The next day, my friends and I woke up early to enjoy the famous breakfast buffet. It was absolutely delicious!

Here’s a glimpse of what we enjoyed:

• 🍉 Fresh fruits like mangoes and pineapples

The breakfast experience was truly a cherry on top of a wonderful night.

🧠Lessons I Learned from My Prom Experience

Looking back, my prom night experience at Dusit Thani taught me a few important lessons:

Family is everything. Their love and support give you strength.

Time flies. One minute you’re dreaming of prom, and the next minute, it’s over.

Friendships matter. Treasure every laugh, every dance, and every picture.

Nerves are normal. Feeling nervous just shows how much you care.
