💃 My 2025 Prom at Dusit Thani: One Night, So Many Memories
Hi everyone! I’m super happy to share my prom story with you all. I’m a 15-year-old Grade 10 student, and this year, I got to experience prom night at Dusit Thani Mactan Resort again. Yes, again! Because last year when I was in Grade 9, our prom was also held there.
Going back to the same beautiful place made me feel both excited and emotional. This year feels more special, though. Maybe because I know it might be the last time I get to experience this kind of event with my current friends.

👗 Getting Ready for the Big Night
I was really excited for prom this year. As soon as I found out that the theme or motif was red and gold, I started thinking about my gown right away. I asked my parents if they could help me prepare everything early, and of course, they said yes! They’ve always been there for me and helped me feel confident.
My gown was red with gold details—it felt so elegant and magical. My mom helped me fix everything, from the dress to my hair and accessories. She even reminded me to smile and enjoy the night.

❤️ My Prom Date and Friends
Guess what? My prom date this 2025 is the same person as last year. Haha! We’ve been friends and we’re both comfortable with each other, so it was nice to go together again.
This year, I also asked my parents if I could book a hotel room with four of my close friends. I wanted us to make special memories, especially because some of us are going to different schools next year for Grade 11. I’m honestly sad about that. I’ll really miss them. But I know we all have to move on and grow. That’s just how life goes, right?
Before the event, I felt kind of nervous… but I didn’t even know why! Have you ever felt that way too? Maybe it was because I was excited, or because I wanted the night to be perfect.
When I saw myself in the mirror, all dressed up in my ball gown, I thought, “Wow, this is really happening.” And when I saw my partner, I asked myself, “Is he handsome?” Haha! But more than looks, I felt happy that I was surrounded by good friends and people I care about.

🌟 The Program and Performances
The prom program was really fun. We started with a welcome message and then had a few performances. Some of our classmates performed live on stage with a band—they were amazing! The teachers also performed, which was really fun to watch. It was nice seeing our teachers outside the classroom just having fun like us.
We also had some slow dances during the night. I danced with my friends and had a really good time. I didn’t take too many photos because I wanted to enjoy the moment, but I’ll share the best ones here.

🏊♀️ Swimming After Prom
After the main event ended, my friends and I changed clothes and went swimming in the pool! The pool at Dusit Thani was so beautiful at night. The lights were soft, and the water was cool—it felt like a dream.
We didn’t stay too long because we were tired, but we laughed a lot and took a few pictures to remember the moment.

🏨 My Family’s Supportive Stay
Another thing that made me feel special was that my family also booked a hotel room at Dusit Thani. While I was at the prom, they had a little date of their own. They were so happy, and when I came back, they showed me their photos too.
I’m so thankful for my mom and dad. They’ve always supported me in everything. They gave me advice, helped me dress up, and even said, “Just be confident and have fun.” I really felt their love that night.

🥞 The Morning After – Breakfast Buffet!
After a long and exciting night, my friends and I finally went to bed around midnight. We were so tired but happy. The next morning, we woke up at around 8:30 AM and went to the hotel restaurant for breakfast.
The buffet food was soooo delicious! There were eggs, sausages, pancakes, rice meals, fruits, and even desserts. We were so full and satisfied. I also took pictures of the food I liked most—I’ll show you some here!

🧠
This prom taught me a few things. First, time really goes by so fast. One minute you’re waiting for prom, and the next thing you know, it’s already over. But memories last forever.
Second, friendships are very important. Even if we don’t see each other every day in the future, I’ll always remember the laughs, the hugs, the pictures, and the fun moments we shared.
Third, it’s okay to feel nervous. That just means something important is happening. What matters most is to enjoy every moment and be yourself.
💬 A Message to My Readers
If you’re also a student like me, maybe you’ve already had your prom, or you’re excited for your first one. I just want to say—make the most of it. Don’t stress too much about being perfect. Just enjoy the night, dance with your friends, take pictures, and feel proud of how far you’ve come.
And if you’re someone who misses your high school days, I hope my story made you smile and remember your own fun moments too. 😊
📸 Final Thoughts
My 2025 prom at Dusit Thani Mactan Resort was truly a night to remember. It was full of love, fun, music, and laughter. I’ll never forget the way I felt that night—the joy, the sadness, and the excitement.
This experience is something I will treasure forever. High school life may not last forever, but the memories will always stay in our hearts.
